Getting ready to entertain during the holidays

Let's Grill for the holidays!

Green Egg Grill

As most of you know we like to cook and we really like to eat. The problem is Q, he's a pescetarian, the only meat he eats is fish. When Q cooks his fish, especially Salmon it can smell up the entire kitchen for hours, that’s why I am happy when he decides to grill.

We tried tofurky a few years back for Thanksgiving and it was ok, but I won't be doing that again. So we are back to cooking fish and are even thinking about grilling over the holidays. I have been shopping around for an alternative grill and I found this one on Shop.com

The green egg grill!

A friend of ours had the Green Egg Grill and it works great. It’s so professional and versatile. You can grill anything in it. You can smoke food. You can grill beef and chicken but the coolest thing is firing it up to over 800 degrees and slapping down fish for it to sear. This is unbelievable. Trust me I have had it. You can even cook Tandoori style on this grill.

Whether you are looking for a green egg grill or Omelet Pans do make sure you check out Shop.com's selection for competitive pricing.

I have heard those are fabuloous! When I remodeled a couple of years ago I put in an outdoor kitchen with a Fire King grill that I love, but i've heard the Green egg is awesome! At Thanksgiving I switch from becoming a shrimpatrian (I never met a shrimp I didn't like) to being a turkatarian! Happy TG, FMM and Q!

Can I just testify that Q's fish is some of the best ever!

Its funny- I hate all meat being cooked in our house. Cannot stand it at all. I want to try to get all flesh cooked outside of the Mermaid Manor.

But then, I don't really like meat at all - so I am always looking for some angle to get it out of the house.

Now, I want to eat fish cooked by Q.

Fish looks great! Not sure about fish for Thanksgiving but...maybe a turkey platter made from fresh veggies in the shape of a turkey could work! Also wanted wish you a HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! almost your birthday. In Oz it gets here before the states:-) If you were here i'd make you a very special decorated birthday cake! Have a beautiful birthday and celebrate! Lotsa love, one of your aussie admirers.
