The Creative Arts Awards are less than two weeks away and the REAL Emmys are less than 4 weeks away.
In prepping for these big events I've:
-completed about 6 weeks of boot camp and not stopping now!
-been shopping for my jewelry but I haven't picked anything yet.
-booked a makeup artist but I still have to figure out a look
-booked my hair stylist and we are going to try a hairstyle this Sunday for practice
-helped Q pick out his tux (with lots of photo texting and some help from my facebook friends)
-bought my Emmy shoes!!
I bought them from Zappos.com and they are Cole Haan's with Nike Air technology. A fellow editor who has been Emmy nominated several times (for Extreme Home Makeover) gave me all kinds of great advice on how to prep for the day - most importantly she told me to make sure I wear comfortable shoes. I've been wearing these shoes with jeans to work a couple of times a week and they truly are comfortable - I know they don't look it, you'll just have to trust me.
but the big question everybody has been asking - what about the dress??
Y'all will just have to wait!
but here's my dilemma. Can I wear the same dress to BOTH award ceremonies? or do I need two different dresses?
Plus, I keep thinking I'm forgetting something...

Don't know the answer about the 2 ceremonies, but is it a good excuse to buy two dresses? ;)
I would think you'd want two dresses for each ceremony, you'll see pics from the different events and everyone will know it wasn't the same night... besides it gives you a chance to try two different looks!
Since I imagine your dress is going to look FAB you could probably pull off one dress with a big change of style & accessories like a jacket/scarf treatment to make a whole new look... you could rock it!

The Cole Haan Nike Air's are the absolute best... also fab for travel when walking loads. I adore mine- and those you selected are fierce.

I am famous (infamous, perhaps) for wearing high heels but I always tell people that if they are on my feet, they are comfortable. Period. Thanks for the suggestion of more, comfortable heels!
