The Emmy Schmemmys

Today has been a bit surreal for me, that's the only way I know how to explain it. I woke up and my blackberry was flashing like mad. I checked my messages, two friends and fellow editors, Buzz and Steve left me congratulations messages on my Facebook page. That's how I found out that I've been nominated for an Emmy!!!
Last year I worked on season 5 of Project Runway and the show is actually up for two nominations - one for Outstanding Reality Competition Program and one for Outstanding Picture Editing for Reality Programming.

The editors and other creative arts categories don't get to go to the actual Emmy's that you see on tv. They go to a "special" award ceremony that's held the week before. This year the creative arts awards will be hosted by Kathy Griffin and she has named the special ceremony "The Emmy Schmemmys". I love her!


I don't know all the details yet but I suppose I'm going to need a dress! I'm totally going to hit up my favorite designer from our season, Korto for something to wear for the event.




I really love both of these dressed she designed for her big runway show.



Now, I can't let all this Emmy business get to my head - Day-Z is making it very clear she is ready to go for a walk and Q tells me it's my turn to walk her. Leave it to your dog and your husband to keep you grounded!
