Live blogging the Presidential Inauguration

10:05pm Finally the photo highlights from this morning -
Today's party was sponsored by Quaker Oats. There was a huge dining table with a very large bowl of freshly made oatmeal and all the toppings you can imagine. Did you know that Quaker is giving away One Million bowls of cereal between now and February 28. Check it out here. Quaker Oats is like the grandma of breakfast, you gotta love her because she just hugs you with her warmth and love. Thank you Quaker Oats!

Here I am with Katee of e-polishblog to the left and Jessica our fabulous host in the middle

John McCoy, a photographer from the LA Daily News came by the party to take a few photos

Here's one of John's photos that was on the LA Daily News website today (thank goodness you can't see my roots 'cause boy do I need to get to the salon!)

and with over 20 moms and lady bloggers gathered together I am happy to report that not a single one was caught wearing "mom jeans"! This was a very stylish group of ladies!

It was an event I'll always remember.

and just for fun here we are rockin' Aretha's hat!you know you want one!

10:32am big shout out to Jessica Gottlieb! Thanks for hosting such a fun party! Time for me to head to work.

9:55am just met Katee from e-polishblog!

9:34am So many great sound bites from his speech. "America is a friend of each nation and every man ... we are ready to lead once more." and " people will judge you on what you can build not what you destroy..."

9:20am Check out http://whitehouse.gov. Change has come.

9:10am - Okay, so the kids are loud but it feels really appropriate to watch with this young generation. I wonder how much of this they will remember. I guess a black man in the white house won't be such a big deal for them - for these kids it will be normal.

9:08am - The speech, I'm with lots of kids and mommy's. A little hard to hear the tv.

9:07am - It's a done deal. The crowd is insane. I can feel the energy all the way in Los Angeles.

8:55am - I made it to the party

7:47am Anybody know who Michele is wearing???

You are right about the sound bites. I loved the line about how we would extend a hand if they would unclench their fist. Awesome.

Yes! About who Mrs. Obama is wearing—I heard this on the Today show, ach, who was the designer?? Born in Cuba, but considered an American designer . . . a woman . . . Isabel Toledo! That's it. Wasn't it a gorgeous outfit? Yowza.

OMG I am DYING over the Aretha hats!!! LMAO!! I missed her hat yesterday morning but then saw it last night watching that news. That is the most hideous hat ever. And now we are wearing it! LOL
