More crazy neighbor stuff

This house always has a few of these tarp covered cars around it but I never took the time to count how many there are....until today.4 in the street and 2 in the driveway.
Really? You need 6 piece of crap cars that just sit there? I thought maybe they rent the cars out to different film and tv shoots, that would make sense right? but no they never move.

I've never seen anyone even trying to fix them up - these people are hoarders - CAR HOARDERS! (and you thought I lived in a nice neighborhood, HA!)

Maybe Jeff Foxworthy would like a new location for his next comedy dvd - you know you're a redneck if...

Mary - have you lots of birds or trees that drop berries in your 'hood? In my former 'hood, the neighbor used one of these to protect her car. Seems silly for my mazda though! This shot, however, makes me think of some sort of weird horror film involving cars...maybe I just need more coffee!

That's a lot!

In Michigan, every car, on the street or in your driveway, has to have current tags or it will be towed away. If it is like that in your area, take a peek under their covers

Yeah, when I lived in MD my old MG didn't have current tags because it didn't run well (ergo, couldn't pass inspection) and it got towed just for being parked w/o updated registration. I agree with Nancy, go peek! That's probably why they have the tarps, to hide that their cars are not registered. Also, are you allowed to own that many cars and park them on the street? I mean, I don't know if there's a law about that but could I feasibly own 20 cars and take up all the parking on my block?

Weird.

Don't they have to move 'em on street sweeping day?

In Burbank, they ticket if a car isn't moved after three days.

Liz - The tarps are probably to help with dust, we get a lot of dust and pollen around here and with no rain to rinse it off. and yes, everything about the cars and that house is scary!

Nancy, I'm sure he has to have current tags too but I'm not touching anything over there...too scared!

Amy Ruthanne - I know there is a law limiting how many dogs you can own, cars on the other hand I'm not so sure.

BellaKarma - This part of Studio City doesn't have a set street sweeping day. We never have to mover our cars when they come, they just sweep around them.

Doran - Burbank doesn't play around .

Even if you don't have posted street sweeping hours, most cities have laws limiting how long you can park without moving your car. In the city of LA, it's 3 days. Cars that are reported will be chalked and then ticketed, which really helps deter car-stockpiling on city streets.

Mary, you need an HOA.
